About Grayrock Farm Sanctuary

Here at Grayrock Farm Sanctuary, we see the importance of showing kindness to everyone, no matter their size or species. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Animal Sanctuary upon: passion to help those in need, specifically those with no voice.

"We have always wanted to help farm animals that needed a good, nurturing, loving home. Showing kindness and love to any that were abused or neglected. We have rehabilitated many animals over the years, and have used these opportunities to teach people about compassion for animals." - Donna Gervasi, Co-Owner of Grayrock Farm Sanctuary

Grayrock Farm Sanctuary emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support others to help the thousands of animal's nation-wide that need help everyday. A desire for actions to speak louder than words.

"I have always had an interest in owning my own farm sanctuary since following Ellie and Jay, founders of The Gentle Barn in California, Missouri and Tennessee. I always wanted to work with animals even though I have never worked or lived on a farm. I worked in property management and real estate sales/rentals for developers for 30 years.

Our daughter, Samantha, rode horses since she was 5 years old at a local farm. She loved it so much that she volunteered there as a teenager and learned how to care for them. At 16, she bought a horse that was at the farm with money she saved up and Gracie became part of our family. A couple years later, we found our small 10 acre farm in Clinton.

Dave and I  decided to create a farm sanctuary along with our daughter, Samantha. We wanted to help farm animals that needed a good, nurturing, and loving home. We also wanted to help any that were abused or neglected and rehabilitate them and teach people about compassion for animals." - Donna Gervasi
